Paint Run/Drip Effect

Hi all,

I'm working on a project at the moment that requires a black solid to move into frame... Ideally I want to achieve this as if it is wet paint running from the top of the frame into shot, eventually filling the screen. I'm wondering if there is an easy way to do this using After Effects...

Ideally I would do this practically but I need to have this last bit of project turned around by the end of the weekend!

If anyone could shed some light on this and help me I'd be really grateful!
