Its interesting you might be debating the ethics of copyright. ie taking the image. Anyway, you might be interested to know the work Genomixer consists real representaions of my actual DNA, which I had fully sequenced. As such the work proposes to question the validity of ownership or rights to dna. DNA seems to be regarded as some sort of intellectual property. Going further who has the rights to all the DNA on the police database in the UK? Soke of these works are actually playing music to my base code ie atcg etc and the musical files are opensource. Also I have made a piece of work called DNA clock on my main website (www.stanza.co.uk) where I am proposing my whole dna is open sourced as a piece of code.
