short bulb life in Pepper 200 -> best brand bulbs

Having just stocked up on B&H's "general brand" bulbs, which a salesperson defined as "whatever we have on hand," I've been dismayed by the short life of these bulbs in my LTM Pepper 200.

Questions: Do you notice better reliability/life for certain brands? Is there something unique about the LTM Pepper 200 (with 200w bulbs) that makes the life of bulbs in this fixture relatively brief?
