Finding the circuits
by Rick Wise on Sep 5, 2008 at 4:44:37 pm

A while back, someone posted a question about how to determine what plugs are connected to which circuit breakers. No one could come up with a good solution. One has just popped up at: http://store.komando.com/p-295-digital-circuit-finder.aspx?utm_source=l&utm..., $35.

The process looks to be slow, though: you'd have to plug the gizmo into each wall plug and then the wave the wand over the breaker box, methodically mapping out the circuit layout. Looks like having radio communication with an assistant would be the only reasonably useful way to go, and still it would be slow going.
