Having problems importing footage from Sony EX HD into Avid

I'm trying to import media into Avid Media Composer 5.5 (PC version) and the problem is when the clips are longer than 10 minutes, when I mount the card (via card reader) it reads the AMA and I see the clip, but when I playback the video goes to black and I only hear the audio, the same thing happens after the clip is created as an Avid footage, so far the only solution I have is to create a mfx clip out of the XDCAM EC clip browser, but that method doubles the time of capturing since I have to do the import twice. Any suggestions?
