Changing Media creation OMF/MFX in Symphony

I am in the process of moving a project onto a new system and onto a new drive.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but what has been my experience of getting the media to connect is to delete the two directory files and have Avid recreate them.
But my problem is that Avid is not recreating them. Even when I hide the current folders and import a file to try and force it to make new folders. It only makes a new OMFI folder, not an AvidMediaFiles folder.
BUT what I think might be the problem is that Avid Symphony (v 5.0.5) is set to create OMFs instead of MXF files, so the new media is going right into the OMFI folder instead of needing to create a new folder.
SO long story short (assuming I'm on the right path with this) is...
How, in this version, do I set my media creation to be MXF? In the Media tool it just asks me for resolution and drive, not mxf/omf.
