Importing P2 Audio problem

Hi there,
my colleague asks me a question today, he imported P2 files into AVID NewsCutter 7. he realised that audio track 1&2 are mixed after importing it into AVID, do you know why and how he can change some settings which might affect it?
Aslo, does anyone use Canopus 3 to covert MOV file? we cut our stories on AVID, by using P2 footage, we export it as QuickTime Movie file, mov file, it is fine, but after convering by Canopus, for some part of footage, like pan or fasting moving shots, the final picture look a little bit jittery, like some interlacing problem.
why is that?
Many thanks,
