Thanks Grinner, I had just opened and resaved the PNG sequence from Photoshop when I read your reply. The animation codec was gonna be my next choice. After resaving from PS the Avid imported fine though. I'm on deadline so I'll chalk the flakiness up to that.

BTW I wonder if Avid ever fixed the crappy alpha channel edges in their Meridien codec?
