Backup / File Sync Utilities good for avid projects??
by Andy DeVries on Jul 16, 2009 at 3:18:26 pm

Hi folks,

I've been researching a number of mac osx backup utilities - file synchronization, Synchronize! Pro, Unison, SuperDuper!, etc. and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend one that can successfully do what I'm looking for - and that is, to update an existing backup without having to replace the entire project/media directory. Just update what has either been added, altered or removed.

Most of these applications claim to be be able to successfully update backups, but the variety of file types and folder structures within my precious Avid projects have me concerned to even try. If anyone can share their successes (or failures) with backup utilities, I'm all ears.
