Re-Learning Avid

I'm going back in the job market and I've been on Final Cut for 7 years. If I download the trial of XpressPro and familiarize myself with it, is it similar enough to Media Composer to where I can confidently tell people I can work on an Avid? I know they have different features, but is the user interface pretty much the same?
