You could duplicate the track, then apply color correction to correct to the right colors, then add the annimatte filter and keyframe masks....this would allow the color correction to only be applied inside the masked area...I have done this on my Symphony to color correct someone's teeth....It came out beautifully.

you could also try the BCC filter, "Correct selected" and see if that would allow to correct just the area you need.
