AVID Bins and Projects on a network

Hi everybody.
I have a problem using avid projects over a network.
What I need to do is to use the same .avp project over a network, that is to be able to edit the same one over two different computers LAN connected.
I tried to save Bins and Projects in a network shared folder, but when I open the project on the computer where I didn't edit it, it will open the bin with all media offline clips.
So I tried to export the project as AAF with embedded consolidated audio and video, but it will take some long time and it's not the same thing.
Is there any way to share a projects over a network without using an Unity or Interplay stuff?
Where do I go wrong?
Thank you.
Paolo Martini
