Re: converting movs for use in AVID

Thanks for your reply. It's not really clear what version of Avid the guys who receives the toolkit will be running as its going to different countries and we don't know the specs in their facilities.

I suppose another question would it be is it possible for someone in Australia (for example), working on an an earlier version of Avid to take the HD size source .mov, work on it doing some video mattes and render out as PAL Widescreen? Would they have to convert down the HD footage to PAL Widescreen first before they start any work (maybe using FCP or something) Are there differences in the workflow for different versions of Avid when using the HD source clips?
