Adrenaline CPU Upgrade

Hello all,
We are currently running an Adrenaline on an XW8000. The box has gone through 3 MBs in the last 4 years and it is showing signs of needing a 4th. We have decided to purchase another box to keep from having to dump money into the current one again. I would like to go with an XW8600 to allow us to upgrade MCA software at some point but I need a functioning system between now and then. I know the graphics card and RAM will be upgraded with the new box but I would like to move my UL4D and Pyro64 (if needed) cards into the new box. Our current system is as follows:
Avid Adrenaline v2.01, NVIDIA Quadro4 980 XGL, 2gig RAM, UL4D SCSI controller, Pyro64 FW card, Avid VideoRAID 2.5 TB.
Obviously, we have not upgraded anything in years and I have not kept up new CPUs and RAM configs. I looked at the HP site and their system config tools, but there are alot of options and I know nothing of their compatability with my components and software. I also looked at the qualified CPU page on Avid's website but it doesn't clearly address the add in cards I am running. Are the Avid qualifications backward compatable with MCA software?
Any help and recommendations welcome.
Thanks,
Mark
