After converting from MXF to OMF, how to get back edits?

I just started a project, imported all my clips, made in and out points on the parts I will be using and then laid out rough sequences. Half way through fine tuning my first sequence, I realized I chose the wrong format of MXF.
So I went to the Media Creation setting and changed Video File Format from MXF to OMF. Then I went to Transcode and had the setting Target Video Resolution: DV 25 411 OMF
I did the Transcode on my clips and sequences. When it was done, I noticed the new OMF clips did not have my INs and OUTs, but my transcoded sequence had all my edits.
Now, I am confused... is my transcoded sequence still using the MXF files? How do I go about getting everything to use the OMF files I created, and still have my edits I did on the MXF one? Then to clean up, do I just go in the Media Tool and delete all the MXF files? What about titles and effects?
Also, thinking back to the Transcode dialog window... I only had 'Convert Video' checked, should I have checked the 'Convert Audio Format' too?
