Input time limit

Why does Avid Express Pro 5.7 limit input time to 30 minutes. When inputing video from a digital tape on a Sony DSR 11 Avid stops the input at 30 minutes. In an older version I could enter 2 hours of video at one time. Is this time limit something I have to live with or can the input time limit be changed?
