Keyboard response, XP vs OSX

Hi guys

Just a quick one. I'm on the cusp of making a platform decision Mac vs PC. Anyone cutting on both platforms care to offer a view on keyboard response times?

I've always felt FCP had lousy keyboard response but having never cut on a USB based Media Composer on Mac (yeah, I'm old) never had the chance to work out if it's a Mac USB thing or just FCP. Is XP better?
