I'm sure this doesn't help but I'm having that problem on Media Composer 2.8 also. Plus now I'm having problems with Digital Cut.

I thought it was because I upgraded to Media Composer but if you have it,maybe it's the x.8 upgrade? I can't downgrade to Xpress again so I'm kinda screwed with my coming deadlines. But I feel your pain....
