I've made a (windows) util that rips the audio from XDcam and saves it as a multichannel BWF file that can be relinked to the proxy video. It's not on my site yet but will be there in a few days.
That could be usefull to you, but it has a downside.
XDcam is SLOW. The audio is multiplexed (meaning, video and audio are in the same file), thus to extract it my app. has to read trough the entire file, making it only a bit faster than an Avid import.
So it's only really usefull if you have a second machine to run it on, freeing your edit suite.
If you have time to spare, there is another solution.
Import the proxy with audio.
Import the high res video with audio
Trash the proxy audio channels
Trash the high res video channels
Select the proxies and do a Relink
Trash the high res Master clips (but LEAVE the audio)
Mail me if you like to toy with the XDcamToBWF util
