Should run fine. You may be limited in terms of external peripherals as a mojo will conflict with any other fw device like storage. However, that said the i dont know if this limitation applies to using the fw 400 and 800 ports. But software-wise you should be fine, as i have run MC soft on my imac at home which is lower spec (1st generation intel 17").
