Thanks Michael for your response. There are different tape names, so I think that should be OK. The problem is that some, or most, of the TC on sound doesn't match the TC from the camera, so it's all been (sort of) synched on the timeline.
I've never worked like this and editing with sequences as my dailies/rushes instead of clips/subclips is not making it easier.
