Central Storage?

We are an Avid house with MC's Xpress Pro's & DS and are looking at central storage. Having used Avid Unity V1 all those years ago, I am tending to go the Unity route again. Does anyone have any experience of 'EditShare' which looks like a cheaper more flexible alternative??
