Resize an image for 16:9 pal brodcasting

Resize an image for 16:9 pal brodcasting

Hi,

im trying to take an high res. still picture(2953X2170)
and resize it in photoshope to import the image in avid MCSOFT 720X576 25i Pal Project
maintaing the aspect ratios to 16:9 outpot
i cant seem to be able to find the way in photosope:

not by cropping with the maintain aspect ratios cheaked (whats the parmeter to keep a 16 by 9 aspect ratios )

and not by opening a new document with the 16:9 pal preset and dreging the still image scaling with the ALT pressed (its seems that this way i've to relaiy on me eyes judment that the frame is in the right aspect ratios
