Why no image in preview?

I use Media composer with a mojo and I'm problem viewing in the preview window but not in the timeline or program window with one bin of clips except for 3 that were batch capture a little later. When to talked to Avid about this they tried everything to find out why even to the point of rebulding the external raid system and still nothing. Has anyone seen this before? Other than recaputering the clips again what solution do I Have?
