Sync question for Adrenaline
by

I have a PC Adrenaline (2.7.2 on XW8200) that is being fed SD sync off a Evertz 7750SRG card (housed in a Evertz frame). That is a unit that generates HD and SD sync and I have them routed properly to the SD and HD sides of the Adrenaline.
We are now having issues where the Adrenaline is not behaving properly when set to the external sync, but is fine when set back to the internal. I seem to recall reading or hearing somewhere that Avid needs a true black burst signal to function. Is this correct?
I have several FCP2/Kona3 systems that are perfectly content with this sync.
Thanks for any input...
