What was the best Mac Avid editing system for Nubus machines?

Not sure how far back you guys go in the editing business, but what was the best System/Software Avid produced for the Nubus era Macs (68K and early PPC)?

Also is there an archive around where you can get pdf manuals and drivers/software for the old Nubus gear? I have not seen anything Nubus related (outside of a few tech notes) on Avids site. Google does not turn up much either for old gear.

I am still trying to find drivers or test software for my Truevision based ABVB board with Python II card.
