:-) This one is easy to fix. Simply use the "Select in Range" command from the "Program" menu, which shows up when pressing the Option/Alt key. And if you want to use it often (as we do), you can assign it to a keyboard shortcut via the System Preferences->Keyboard->Application Shortcuts. I have mapped it to Option-Command-J, which is close to Option-Command-H for "select from here"
