Since you are using an old version of Media 100, the Aja drivers from the website are not compatible to your Media 100 software. I think with Version 12.7 Media 100 does use the Aja Kona drivers. Before that it used other drivers, that were included with the Media 100 installer. So for working in Media 100 you don´t need drivers from the Aja page.

BUT, since you want to test your Kona board, you should download the Aja Kona drivers for your board and OS. I am not sure which OS and which board you are running, but there are Kona drivers for several combinations. With the Kona drivers you will not be able to use Media 100 (unless you deinstall the drivers and reinstall Media 100), but you will be able to test your Kona card and get info about it in the Aja control Panel.
