Camera unthreading tape
by Bill Dobe on Jul 23, 2008 at 4:50:46 pm

Have you ever experienced this. Lately, every time I put a tape in my old (but like new) JVC 300 and press the holder into the transport, it unthreads a couple of inches of tape before I can even close the cover. Then the viewfinder displays a VTR WARNING (HARD) message and the camera ejects the tape holder. Mechanically, everythings seems (and sounds) in order. Could some setting have gotten messed up? Is there a way to reset it?

Thanks,

Bill Dobe
