I was lucky enough to be able to borrow a PL adaptor, and a set of primes......I was blown away by the results, so much so that I went out and bought one!!
All I've got to do now is raise $40,000 for a second hand set of primes !!!
The Cooke primes I used were superb, and proved what can be achieved with a relatively inexpensive set-up.
I'm not too sure about the availability of the adaptor, because when i bought mine they were very thin on the ground, and difficult to find.
