Hi everyone, I have an answer for this post (better late than never).
The 4gb file limit and corresponding 12 frame gap is fixable by using Clipwrap. Under the clip menu, choose "join selected clips". This will join the M2T files seemlesly. It is only needed when recording in the M2T format. DV files do not create the 12 frame gap. We record theatre productions to a Z7 and a S270, (we sync the timecode of the 2 cameras with TC link) then join the respective files in Clipwrap. An instant 2 camera shoot synced and ready to edit, when converted to ProRes or whichever format is needed.
