Sony HDR FX1 problems
by Keelan Carothers on Nov 6, 2009 at 8:39:51 pm

My sony hdr fx1 is having recording and playback problems. I'm getting the C:31:22 error every once and a while. I can still record images, but on the playback they appear all choppy, and after a while the cam will give me the error message and tell me to eject the tape. I use video head cleaner (though rarley as I'm afraid of permament damage) and have tried the "smack the bottom of the cam method" which worked for a while, but left me feeling like I was just delaying the inevitable.

I really need some advice, where can I send the camera to get fixed, how much money am I looking at, and is there an easier, cheaper way to get the gunk off my video heads without paying half a grand?
