1080i/60 looks jagged when played back on Sony HVR M15U

So I have DVCPro HD 1080i/60 footage on my timeline in Final Cut Pro (Studio 2). The sequence is set the same as my footage. I play it back to my Sony HVR M15U HDV/DV tape deck through firewire and it looks jagged. Anyone know why that is?
