Hi,

I am not sure that the DSR-1800 will send out DVCPRO via firewire, there are extra flags in the audio. I remember something sniggly about this but it was several years ago and I don't remember all of the detainls. I know the machine will play it back but before you commit to this route try the FW transfer first. If it does work, this would be the best mode as it will have taken the footage in without uncompressing and thus recompressing via SDI.
