I agree, it's probably a good idea that the forum name be reconsidered, with "DV" being both a format and a descriptor.
It would seem to me that the CX, HC, or SR series camcorders would fit what Mirela is looking for.
All sub $1200.00 camcorders, most of them sub $900.00.
