DSR-250

I got a Sony DSR-250 here and there is a greenish tint like night vision in both the LCD screen and the video it records. I was however able to get color bars that displayed and recorded correctly. Any ideas of what's wrong? I'm hoping it some setting I've overlooked, but something tells me it's much more serious.

Also...sometimes there is a transparent red bar or lines that appear in the video when I change various settings or pan the camera. Perhaps this is a serious CCD problem?
