PD-150 Error Firewire port not responding

Thanks for the help.

Sony PD 150

Last week i plugged the cam into my firewire port and all was fine.

Now the cam & PC will not reconize each other.

When i open the Camera lcd menu and select

ETC > EDIT SET > ADJ TEST

I get the code READY/not READY quickly flashing, like a disconnect

Message

CHECK " I.Link " & REC Status flashing


Steps for trouble shooting

check firewire cord. OK plugged in another cam and it works
tried on different PC BAD same problem

menu > VCR > A/V>DV OUT = OFF

CAM RESET Button > reset
PC, power on/off

tried everything i can.

has anybody ever experienced a FIREWIRE port failure ?

Expected COST for repair ?

Hard Rest option ? besides the manual Reset inside the LCD
