I understand.

And if that's the case, you don't want to use the 60 min. DVCAM tapes.

Because they are identical to the 80 min. DV tapes.

The tape runs faster past the heads at DVCAM speed.
So a 60 min. DVCAm tape is the same (length and "thinness") as an 80 min. DV SP tape.

It takes thinner tape (and more of it) to fit in the small mini-cases.
