When you contact Sony, they will ask for your model number from the bottom of your camera and the Sony rep. will ask you a couple questions before they send you out a shipping label. My camera is 3 years old too and they did a great job fixing the green tinting problem. The green tint will record to your tape if you don't get it repaired. There was no cost from Sony for the repair but you should check into how long the recall lasts, I heard around Oct. 2007.
