But these camcorders do look very good.

If the Sony FX1 and Z1R, using HDV, aren't "true" HD, what are they? I'm comparison shopping now, and was starting to question my earlier desire for these two cameras due to the reported poor performance of the 24p feature. Is there a technical or pragmatic difference between HD and HDV that is worth noting in comparison shopping?

Many thanks!
Max.
