Of course one would have to build into the cost of production buying a JVC ioData for the client. At $350 it's manageable but certainly not standard.

Given how many corporate presentations are still done from laptops or computers to a projector, the above workflow might be a reasonable alternative because $350 is a lot cheaper than a laptop and most PCs and will give the client an HD presentation if they have a nice HDTV in their conference room. Might be easier to just give them 16x9 standard def though.

I'm amazed at the number of people buying HDV without any standard for delivery. By the time there's a standard and the market penetration is high enough to make a large enough client base, the next generation of cameras will be out.

One good thing about the HDV cameras (and the HVX-100 DVCProHD) is that they all have native 16x9 chips and can shoot that way on DV.
