Alpha Transitions in FCP X

Hey there CreativeCow FCPX Community,

This is my first time posting here on CreativeCow, but I did do a quick search before posting. It is possibly worth mentioning, I am fairly new to the editing process, and FCP X is the first editing software that I've spent any real time with.

On to my question. I have a couple transitions a friend made that are both made up of 3 files (a clip, an alpha matte, and a wipe matte). My question is... Am I able to setup a custom alpha transition in FCP X, and if so, would someone please be kind enough to explain this process?
