Jack NiedenthalBurning a DVD... Export as media from FCPX?

Ok, so if I am going to make a DVD of a 90 minute film, is it best to:

1) export as a media file, then import it into compressor and burn the DVD, or

2) go straight into compressor and burn it from there.

Which method will give me the best quality? Can you suggest settings? This is not Blue Ray, just a regular DVD, but I want the best quality possible.

Is there another method? Thanks for your help.
