Hmm.. I don't think so? But man I'm confused. Ha!
I think I'm ok now, but my problem was merging timelines I guess.
Like, I had one giant project with 3 hours of footage, and was duplicating it to cut up small bits of 30M.
Then, when I was done editing those bits, I would make a compound clip and close the project.
After that, I would create a new timeline (empty), and go searching for my compound clip in the even library, searching for a reference.
I didn't realize you just copy from a timeline (compound or not), close the timeline (project?), open a new one, and paste it in.
It seems like creating the compound in the event library first offers some cool options (like that global accessibility of compounds for other projects).. I'll have to try that for the next project!
