Controlling cursor location/positioning?
by darren john on Oct 24, 2008 at 11:16:19 am

Hey guys,

Is there a way to control the user's mouse cursor location/positioning?

Basically When the user selects a back button, it takes them back to the previous movie via a gPrevious global variable and when the previous movie loads, I need the cursor to move up slightly (without any control from the user), to the middle of the screen, for example.

Is this possible? I'm having a hard time researching it as the only advice I can find is RE animated cursor, determining the cursor location but nothing on how to actually control the cursor in order to move it upwards slightly for a brief second?

Perhaps if 'moving' the cursor is not possible, I could restrict the mouse cursor/object to prevent the cursor entering a certain element/object/button, for example? If so, any idea how this could be achieved?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Darren
