QuickTime black box!
by darren john on Feb 7, 2008 at 9:18:53 pm

hey guys,

I really need help as this is really starting to annoy me.

Basically I have various QuickTime movies on my movie (each QT video displayed in different frames/markers) and when you click a button it goes to the marker with a specific QT movie.

Everything plays fine except that I have another frame on stage that plays the SAME video but in a different position which results in a black box being displayed from where the other QT movie was playing! I can't seem to work out how to get rid of the black box other than have both sprites of the same QT movie in the same position/location on stage but I need both QT movies to be on different areas in different frames/markers, for example the movie needs to be on the top left corner of the stage on frame 10 and the SAME movie needs to be on the bottom right corner of the stage on frame 20 but I cant do this without a black box from either movie being displayed behind the QT movie that is playing and vice versa.

I hope this makes sense?

It seems the stage isnt refreshing properly or it could be something to do with the preloadMember lingo script, like then example below but I doubt it:

on exitFrame me
preLoadMember("movie1")
if member("movie1").loaded = FALSE then
go "loading"
else
if member("movie1").loaded = TRUE then
go "loaded"
end if
end if
end

Please help and advise, I would really appreciate it!

Cheers in advance

Darren
