Switching between applications
by dj2007 on Sep 21, 2007 at 3:52:18 pm

Hi guys,

Here is the scenario:

A client wants a DVD-ROM to run in full screen mode, however he wants to be able to switch between applications while viewing the DVD-ROM. I suggested having a fixed window size (with titlebar options) instead since you can easily switch between applications using this format but he is reluctant to use this method and prefers full screen.

However I know that there are "tricks" in order to switch between applications while viewing a projecter movie in full screen mode (I use the windows start key on my keyboard to reveal my windows tab etc or maybe its just me??) but one can't expect the end user to resort to such "tricks".

In a fixed sized window, however, I know you can tick the "maximise" option within the display template in the property inspector but if you maximise the projector window while the application is running the stage always ends up on the top left of the screen instead of in the centre like the full screen mode so my question to you guys is what is your advice? Is there a way to kill two birds with one stone so to speak?

Perhaps some Lingo to control and display the stage in the centre of all monitors if maximised?

Cheers in advance

Darren
