Sorry I should have been more clear (however a very detailed answer thankyou) - I'm simply wanting to replicate that idea in my folio using vectors or any means possible.

The above link has a colour layout of my folio which is being built in DirMX04. When a user clicks on any of the menu items the far right bar i wanted to do a little morph/sqeeze like motion to form a white box under the menu item selected - then allowing me to place all the images for that section ontop of the white box!
