Yes the physical dimensions are smaller than on the 17" but it's only an inconvenience as you travel and may not be as cramped as you fear. Try it out in the store if you can. "

I was actually referring to the non retina MBP when I said "losing res".

The regular 15" is 1440xWhatever.

The retina will be a smaller screen, but higher res which I think I'm ok with. Have to check it out, though.
