I don't remember which thread it was in, but I remember one of the Adobe guys mentioning there was an update for PPro coming soon that addressed issues with AAF export. We now know it will also introduce "smart rendering", so it should be a good update.

While getting projects over to other programs has been a weak link for Premiere, I do think it will get better soon. Adobe DID hire the Master of Interoperability, after all...
